What is the difference between director's fee (董事费) and director's remuneration (董事薪金)?

DIRECTOR FEE

1. The annual fees paid by any employer including retainer fee and meeting fees as compensation for setting on the board of directors.

2. Pay once a year.

3. Require approval at board of director meeting and subsequently approval from the member of meeting.

4. Subject to PCB only.

5. Declare in personal tax.

DIRECTOR REMUNERATION

1. It is the salaries, allowance and bonuses which are paid to director on monthly basis.

2. Pay every month.

3. No need approval, it is base on employment contract.

4. Subject to EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB.

5. Require to declare in personal tax.
